What is her/his reaction when you explained to him/her (them) the theories from the book?

Interview Paper
Conduct an informational interview (approximately 20-30 minutes) with an HRD professional. This could be someone working in the areas of training and development or organization development or any area related to HRD. You can choose to record the interview or just write down your notes depending on the situation.
Your paper should be able to answer the following questions:
1. Who is (are) your interviewee(s)? Why did you choose him/her(them)? What company does (do) the Interviewee(s) work for?
2. What is his/her their understanding of Human Resource Development as a profession?
3. What kind of HRD activities does (do) the interviewee(s) do in their organization?
4. What component theories did you choose to present to your interviewee(s) (Review Chapter 6)?
5. How familiar is (are) your interviewee(s) with the theories (one or two, depending on the length of your interview) that you chose from our textbook?
6. What is her/his reaction when you explained to him/her (them) the theories from the book?
7. If your interviewee(s) does (do) know of the theories, how are the theories applied in the workplace (Ask them for examples)?
Otherwise, what did your interviewee(s) envision their applications in the future? (How useful will the theories be for practitioners?)
8. What you have learned from this interview about the field of
HRD and your thoughts on how to integrate theory into practice to promote this field.
In order to answer these questions, you need to compile your own interview questions. Some of the questions you might as include: 1) What do they do in their job? 2) What has happened in their job over the past five to ten years? 3) Where do they see the HRD field going in the next five to ten years? But you do not need to include your interview questions in your paper; neither do you need to include interview transcriptions. Your paper should include introduction, body and conclusion. Your paper should not have grammatical or syntax mistakes and it needs to flow well.
Like all other assignments in this class, Times New Romans Size 12 should be used throughout the paper. The paper should at least be 3 pages long and no more than 5 pages including the Cover page, double spaced

Honor was the currency of the time in many practical ways.

Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing, Acts 4-5
Some students find the request Beatrice makes of Benedick at the end of Act 4, scene 1 manipulative and unfair. Why does Shakespeare choose to have Benedick and Beatrice profess their love for one another now, of all times? Why does Beatrice ask Benedick to prove his love by killing Claudio?Think about this beyond the motive of revenge, and consider instead the culture of honor in which they are all living. Honor was the currency of the time in many practical ways. If a man lost his honor, he could not proceed in politics or business, if a woman lost her honor (her virginity) she could be killed by her father or male relative or, if she as lucky, sent to a nunnery for the rest of her life. What Claudio has done is very serious, as it could result in Hero’s death at her father’s hands. He and Don Pedro, a “pair of honorable men,” have chosen the most public and humiliating way in which to denounce Hero, and thus, Leonato, who has always been a gracious and generous host to them. Why do they not speak to Leonato in private rather than make such a spectacle? Are they as honorable as we thought? Is Beatrice’s request perhaps more reasonable than a modern audience might initially believe?

If you were to intervene in one family transaction identified in your genogram, what would that be?

Family of Origin Project: The purpose of this project is to increase self-awareness of the impact of your family of origin on your work with families and to give you experience in using tools from various models to assess and intervene in family dynamics. This project involves doing your family genogram and an eco-map. You will construct a three-generation genogram of your own nuclear family including your grandparents, parents, siblings, their spouses if applicable and children if applicable and your children if applicable. Your genogram will include a transactional map with a key that diagrams your family’s relational patterns (i.e. patterns of attachment, cut-offs and conflicted relationships, triangles, sub-systems, alliances, etc). In addition to structurally mapping out the genogram, you will write a brief (300 word) synopsis describing what transactional and generational patterns, behaviors, beliefs and norms you became aware of when analyzing your genogram. How might these family patterns, behaviors, beliefs, norms impact your practice with families today and in the future? If you were to intervene in one family transaction identified in your genogram, what would that be? What specific intervention strategy (from course material) might you “prescribe” to modify this dynamic? Provide your rationale for choosing this intervention strategy.

Again, do not forget to discuss theoretical concepts mentioned in your hypothesis.

Again, do not forget to discuss theoretical concepts mentioned in your hypothesis. If you attribute your organization’s problem to a lack of profitability, inadequate profit growth, lack of leadership, poor customer service, lack of research, development, and innovation, or ineffective planning, controlling, and organizing, you must research these areas. This section should reflect the use of peer review sources consulted during your literature search. You may further divide Section I by offering subheadings for the types of key theoretical concepts or business problems you are researching. For example, one subheading might be Research on Strategic Vision Failures and another might be Research on Failed Marketing Strategies or Research on Successful Marketing Strategies. Throughout this literature search, possible weaknesses or threats are uncovered for you to discuss. As these areas become apparent, organize the research paper so that—near the end of this section—you can bring focus to the main problem.
